Welcome to our website and happy browsing!
Trinity Methodist Church is set in the heart of West Watford and is a community of all ages, all races and all different understandings of what it means to be a Christian today. What unites us is our belief in Jesus Christ and our desire to live out his life in our life together and in service of our community. We aren’t perfect and you don’t have to be perfect to attend Trinity!
We are always welcoming new people and would love you to pop in on a Sunday morning or evening if you would like to see if we are the church for you. You can contact me for more information but the best way to find out what we are like is to join us for worship on a Sunday. We normally have coffee after each morning service and there are social activities throughout the year in addition to our regular Bible study and fellowship groups.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
Rev. David Goodwin (Minister)
Trinity is hosting the British Methodist Youth Choir over the weekend of 27th – 29th April
Highlights of the weekend will be the concert at 7.30pm on Saturday 28th April, as well as the Choir’s contribution to the Sunday morning worship. The concert will include a wide variety of sacred and secular music which will appeal to audiences of all ages, and is suitable for children. Please keep the date free and bring your friends to this special event – we hope to fill the church.
The British Methodist Youth Choir exists within the Methodist Church to enable young people to share the Christian faith and worship through music; and to encourage local churches and young musicians in the use of music. The Choir consists of a group of talented singers and musicians, made up of young people between the ages of 16 and 27, drawn from churches all over Great Britain. The Choir has performed in over 100 venues in the past 25 years, as well as making a number of overseas tours. The Choir also featured in a BBC Radio 4 Broadcast for Sunday Morning Worship from Hinde Street Methodist Church.Quoting from a back copy of Friends of BMYC, feedback from recent host churches certifies:
“Your presence has certainly given encouragement to our Circuit and lifted spirits no end. We wish you well in everything that you do and pray that God will continue to use you to bless other Circuits and churches as you have blessed us over the last few days.”
“People were particularly struck by the extremely high standard of the Choir and the excellent range of material which you presented but more than that, by your Christian commitment which shone through the music and touched and uplifted people in a very special way!”
The Choir enjoy the opportunity to share in fellowship with the local congregation. We’re grateful to those who are helping provide food and accomodation for the Choir. If you think that you might be able to offer accommodation for this event or would like to help in any other way, Vicky Green, Chinyanta Nkonkomalimba, Marilyn Spidell or Suzanne Robson would be happy to discuss it with you.
Tickets priced at just £5 are available from Vicky, Chinyanta, Marilyn and Suzanne now. Proceeds from ticket sales, after local costs have been met, will be offered for BMYC funds. The Choir is a not for profit organisation and uses all donations and profits from sales to support the Choir through purchasing of music and uniform, subsidising Choir members’ cost of travel to concerts, administration and recruitment activities, plus much more.
The Choir is a Christian organisation and appreciates any prayers for the Choir and its “Mission in Song”.
Further information about the Choir is available on its website www.bmyc.info
